Disney Delights

 Disney Trip: June 2025

During summer vacation, I went to Disneyworld in Florida, America to visit my older sister who was working there during her exchange year! It was especially exciting as we hadn't seen each other for over a year at that point as we had both moved away from home. I was also really looking forward to the food as she kept posting mouth-watering pictures to our family group chat as well as her social media's, which made me want to try every Disney-themed food I could get my hands on!

Before getting into the delicious food reviews, I would like to thank my older sister for giving us the opportunity to experience Disneyworld in the best way! Since she worked there, temporarily, we were able to get many discounts, and she was also able to introduce me to the snacks that were worth it!

Firstly, I need to mention that I have a massive sweet tooth, meaning all the foods I will be mentioning below are essentially desserts or other sweet treats, so if you are looking for savory food reviews, you won't find any here! But moving on, I will start with the cold, refreshing treats first! Florida is a very hot and humid state, and if you're planning on roaming the parks at Disney, a cool treat is practically a necessity if you want to survive walking around or waiting in the outdoor queues before the rides. Below are my favourite chilled treats that brought me relief during the Floridian heat!

Chocolate Mickey Bars, Magic Kingdom
These chocolate bars provide a nice crunch, paired with the contrasting creamy soft vanilla ice cream  which is a great combination texturally, and is a Disney twist to a classic ice cream bar, which is a nostalgic childhood staple!

Pineapple Dole Whip, Magic Kingdom
This pineapple dole whip is one of the most sought after treats within the Disney parks! The flavour is so tangy and refreshing, and is so smooth on your tongue, giving you that much needed hydration for walking around the grounds! Due to it's popularity, you can see many people strolling around with these cups of delight!

Vanilla Chocolate Swirl with Churros, Disney Spring
This fun mixed soft serve dessert combines the two most popular ice cream flavours - vanilla and chocolate, while also incorporating churros for that sugary crunch which also embodies the famous Mickey Mouse!

Finally, I will talk about the more filling treats, which are more commonly eaten sat down, in contrast to the above chilled delights which are good for eating during a casual stroll. The below desserts are wonderful, tasty snacks to have in between your proper meals, which brings joy to any peckish guests visiting the parks!

Mickey Brownie Sundae, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
This warm Mickey shaped brownie is paired with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry on top! It's a fun, enjoyable treat which can be eaten before or after a meal, either way it'll satisfy any eager tummy!

Mickey Mouse Beignets, Disney's French Quarters Resort
These delicious fried pastries are fluffy and decadent, topped with powdered sugar, and paired with a choice of dipping sauces - chocolate, or caramel! They were served fresh and are similar to fried donuts, with their soft, puffy texture, and the chocolate sauce really adds richness to the treat!

Mickey Mouse Waffle, Magic Kingdom
Waffles are a comfort food that can be found almost anywhere, but Mickey shaped waffles make the experience feel more magical! The buttery waffle is crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and the maple syrup drizzled on top makes it more deliciously sweet! This was a perfect, light breakfast which doesn't make you feel too full, so you know you can enjoy the rest of the day eating more tasty Disney dishes!

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed!
